Default Miniature Menagerie

Everyone knows that dedicated most minis are worthless once dedicated they just take up space. I say that they should make a storage slot that can hold one of each dedicated mini in the game. This would make it so people did not have to delete their minis or give them away after putting them in the HoM.

Agreed for the most part. There's still a lot of things in the game that take up valuable storage space, especially for those players who do not have the means or will to spend money buying mule or storage slots.

However, I think a better idea would be to create a Mini-pet maker in the same vein as the Festival hat maker. You take a mini to him and then he keeps it in his storage and makes it available to every character on your account. Minis created in this manner would then be customized to the character who creates it.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a Mini-pet trader in game either, from which players can purchase all current minis created in the the game with ZCoins. The amount of ZCoins needed would be reflected by the rarity of the mini in game. Likewise, these minis would come customized (but still be able to be dedicated to the HoM).

^^^ you mean if you have a miniature, say a mini jora or whatever. You should hand it to the "mini pet trader" and it becomes available to your entire accaunt..

does this still mean you can trade the pet? or would the option make the pet customized..

Well my idea was just to add a storage slot that holds one of each mini, anyone on your account can take it out but it must be dedicated by at least 1 of your characters to your HoM in order to be kept in this special storage slot. A hat trader type thing that would allow you to have multiples would be a bit much imo, being able to keep a mini panda on every char would decrease the value even if it did not decrease the number of them in the market. The minis would still be worthless in trade because they would need to be dedicated, but this way you would save a lot of space and be able to hold on to all your minis.

an individual storage slot for each miniature, or a slot for miniatures only, say 1 slot for every miniature ingame, (+stackable in this storage slot only?)

Noo, kind of like your material slot but instead it holds ONE of each mini rather than a stack. It has 1 spot in it for each mini in the game, you can put one of each. This way you can keep the copies that you dedicated to your HoM. You wouldnt need more than 1 per mini because you dont need to dedicate more than 1 of any mini to your HoM.

fair enough, so a slot with enough space for 109 different mini's, not taking the 3 frogs into account.
don't you think this would result in a HUGE storage pane?

Yea about 3 times bigger than the material slot, it would be a bit big but much better than the current situation. For all I care they could charge $5 for it. More money for them, and we don't have to throw away our minis. They could always make a different slot for each year then a slot for the minis that don't come from BDay gifts. The slots would be bigger but there would be more of them. Maybe when you open the slot there are icons or something for each year to make it less cluttered.

1 more slot is bad enough, adding 1 for every year and 1 for others would be chaos..

probably also wish for a storage pane with EL tonics? (:

just a thought to add onto it, @ele kid instead of it being a huge storage pane it could just display the minis you have and when you drag and drop a new mini in there it shows that space

yea thats the type of thing i was aiming for pretty much/ and i dont see someone having enough EL tonics to warrant a whole storage pane but considering you need 50 minis for your HoM id say thats a bit more feasible.

I would rather see it a little differently. Once you dedicate a mini you should be able to delete that mini since you probably need the room for other stuff. Then once you start missing that mini you should be able to go the HoM and create another copy of that pet for your self. Then make dedicated minis non-tradeable just to really mess with the mini market.

yea that would be a good way to go about it. my post was more about the idea than the application

Mahk the Toymaker should be able to make with miniatures what hat makers make with festival hats.

Sure, I like all this but the non-tradeable Dedicated minis, just add another state: customized. Miniatures used to be customized to a character on Dedication and couldn't be used by anyone else, just use this mechanic for "Trader-made" minis and keep the dedication system separate.

how about mini pet storage more like this:
50 spaces (you have more than that you are just hoarding or you can keep your favorite mini on your favorite character--each of mine have one)
of those 3 for greens, 4 for golds, 4 for purples and the rest for whites...instead of having a spot for say a wallow..you put it into the white spot, celestial bunny--gold spot, etc.
50 spaces should be enough to keep a good portion of minis--and this way if you have say 3 mini celestial bunnies you can put them all in instead of only being able to put one in. (or having slots for ones you dont have or will never have: panda, island guardian etc)...

or have bday mini storage....70 slots one for each bday mini.....that would alleviate some of the extra minis....

I say this may actually be a better idea than the rest. This allows for already dedicated pets to become non sale-able and also at the same time allows us to have more slots free for other things.

i like the idea of the Miniature Menagerie, but instead of them being mini, have them normal size like they are in game, now that would be awesome.
